I love fall, the colors, the smells and of course Thanksgiving. I don't know the whole history of Canadian Thanksgiving, but unlike American Thanksgiving it apparently has nothing to do with pilgrims. I've read that we celebrate it earlier in the year because our colder weather means the harvest is earlier and Thanksgiving marks the end of harvest season. Lately I have been feeling a little blue, must be the winter blues sneaking up early this year, but today I find joy in being with my family and celebrating. The turkey in the oven smells so good, the day is beautiful, the children are behaving, there are so many things to be thankful for!
